Q: How do I order?
A: Pick what you like, copy-paste the items codes, sizes and quantities and send me an email. I will reply with a quotation inclusive of shipping by air mail to your country.
Q: Why should I buy from you instead of buying from many others?
A: Because I can personally source specific items you cannot find anywhere else. It might be a personalized pair of gloves, or some old model hard to find now, or a Muay Thai T-shirt you saw somewhere. Not to mention Muay Boran and Krabi Krabong stuff: they’re hard to find even here! If it’s made in Thailand, I can source it. People who regularly buy from me had already visited all the other shops and couldn’t get the item (or the service) they wanted. I’m not the cheapest on the market, I don’t have anything “exclusive” (apart from my own brand NO MERCY and Muay Boran/Krabi Krabong gear), so all I have to offer is the promise you will receive your order exactly as you wanted it. Because I personally make sure you will. Here you don’t deal with a “company”, but with one individual who does everything, From answering your emails to ship the order at the post office.
Q: Your prices are high. In Thailand the gear costs a lot less.
A: Not a lot less. My mark-up is less than 10 USD/item. If you can’t let me have that small profit, you better come here and buy by yourself, saving…well, those 10 USD. Quality is never cheap, regardless of the country and the product. Thai prices are not as cheap as you may think. I only sell the best quality Muay Thai equipment, made with cowhide, which is definitely not cheap (hence, many manufacturers have introduced PVC or “synthetic leather”, whatever that is). I enjoy a very long and good relationship with every manufacturers (we know each other since I started this business in 2003). This entitles me to some “privileges” such as small discounts and customizations (even for one item).
Q: I have seen Muay Thai gear from Pakistan that looks great and costs a fraction of yours. How come?
The gear on display here can’t be compared with cheap copies made in Pakistan or China. It’s like comparing a Jaguar to a Peugeot: they both co-exist in different market segments and both are legitimate products, made for different budgets. A pair of boxing gloves can be made with very cheap materials and will still look very good online. Thailand is much more expensive than China, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan in just about everything (cost of living, salaries, transportation, etc.) Even from a holidaymaker point of view, Thailand is not a budget destination anymore. In conclusion: gear from Pakistan and China may look good but quality is bad, it has a very short life span and you might injure yourself. There are some cheaper brands made in Thailand but they don’t appear here, as they don’t qualify to be among the best. This shop is called best-muaythai-equipment,com not cheap-muaythai-equipment.com so you should know what to expect, right? And, as usual, you get what you pay for.
Q: So why now everybody uses gear from Pakistan?
Cheap stuff made in Pakistan is everywhere, not because it’s good, but because importers and distributors can reap much larger profits by marketing it to retailers and instructors. From what I’ve seen in Italy and other countries, young athletes don’t have much choice, unless they buy from online shop. What they can buy at the gym, usually from their instructor, is that cheap gear from Pakistan that generates the highest profits for all parties involved (importer-distributor-instructor). It’s easy to make money on a pair of crappy gloves that cost 6 USD to produce in Pakistan but will be sold for 30-40 USD to you. Compare this scenario with a pair of top quality gloves that already cost 45 USD in Bangkok: what the final price will be in USA or in EU? 120 USD? 100 EUR? Not everybody can afford that much for a pair of gloves. To solve this catchy situation, I’ve created the NO MERCY boxing gloves.
Q: I saw your items and I’m interested. What is the best price you can offer?
A: The price you see in THB is the only price I have. I’m unable to offer any discount as my profit per item is less than 10 USD. Therefore, if I can’t have that in full, the order is not worth my time.
Q: Do you have a shop in Bangkok where I can buy directly?
A: No. www.best-muaythai-equipment.com is a dot.com company. There is no brick-and-mortar shop. The shop exist only online. If you’re planning to visit Thailand, I can deliver to you (in Bangkok only) or ship anywhere in Thailand by EMS for free, if you place your order and pay in advance. This will work only if you order at least 3 weeks before coming here.
Q: Do you have wholesale prices? Do you deal with bulk orders?
A: No. After hundreds of inquiries that went nowhere, I have learned that:
1. traders, importers, distributors and retailers contacting me are totally off-track. They should deal directly with the manufacturers. They might be able to grant those amazing you dream of. Sadly, I can’t;
2. the majority of these so-called wholesale/bulk orders are in reality small/medium-sized orders weighing less than 20 Kg. If you buy 10 gloves and 5 shorts it’s not a bulk order.
Q: I plan to resell your stuff on my own site. Can you offer me a discount?
Sadly, there won’t be enough profits for both of us. Before you start your shop selling Muay Thai equipment, ask yourself how you will be able to compete with retailers like me (I buy from the factory, at discount) and with official/unofficial distributors (they buy from manufacturer in real bulk quantities and ship by sea-freight). After you’ve paid for air mail shipping, import duties and add your mark-up, your final price will be pretty high. If you sell items nobody else is selling, you might get some customers. Again, my advice is for you to contact the manufacturers, not me, as I’m a retailer. The only brand whom I’m able to quote bulk prices and offer serious discounts is my own, NO MERCY. It has been created to be as good as TWINS, but at a fraction of the price. As I’m the manufacturer, I can grant large discounts for bulk orders, so we can both make some money.
Q: How do I order and purchase the gear? There is no cart, no check-out option?
A: There is no shopping cart, on purpose. I prefer a more personal and personalized approach when answering inquiries. Besides, one of the reasons people buy from me is to be able to customize their gear or tell me to find a specific item. To order, just send me an email with items codes, sizes, and quantities, and your country of residence. I’ll reply within 12 hours with an offer inclusive of shipping by air mail and payment options. My one and only email is: email@example.com
Write me and we’ll take it from there.
Q: I’ve got your quotation and I want to go ahead with the order. How do I pay you?
A: I accept payments by Paypal.com (subject to previous approval, +4%), Skrill.com, neteller.com (+4%), Bitcoin. Payment is always in advance.
Q: Do you manufacture custom-made gear? Can I have my logo on the gear?
A: Yes. The factory making the MUAYTHAI gear will do it, even for small orders (min. 50 items), while all the other brands won’t. They can replicate any item you like if you provide a sample. All MUAYTHAI gear can be made with your logo screened and/or embroidered. This is how it works:
1. choose the items from MUAYTHAI product ranges;
2. select quantity, sizes/colors;
3. send me your logo as a large picture in .JPG/gif/PNG formats;
4. I’ll send you an itemized quotation after discussing your order at the factory;
5. shipping fees will be assessed later on upon acceptance of the quotation;
Be warned: your custom-made top-quality gear will be as good as TWINS or TOPKING. But also equally expensive.
Q: I’d like to get a free sample, please…
A: I’m unable to offer free samples. Because:
1. I get nothing for free from the manufacturers, apart from a Muay Thai calendar at the beginning of the year from TOPKING;
2. all the brands (with the exception of MUAY THAI) are well-known and well sold worldwide, so there is no need to “evaluate” them;
3. I’m not a charity;
Q: How long will it take to manufacture/receive my order?
A: Manufacturing time for TWINS and TOPKING is one month, 2 weeks fro MUAYTHAI and FAIRTEX. This is an area where I have no control. Deadlines are rarely met. Many variable factors (national holidays, large orders placed before yours, rainy season, etc) may have a negative impact on a company’s manufacturing time. Shipping time by air mail is about 2 weeks to USA and EU, a bit less for Australia/New Zealand. SAL, or economy-airmail, takes about 4-6 weeks to USA and 6-8 weeks to EU. If your order involves more than one manufacturer it’ll probably take longer than if you order everything from one factory.
Q: What about shipping costs?
A: An accurate shipping cost will be included in my quotation. You can browse mail rates from Thailand to the world here
